Today we read more about Gregory's 'Mind Body Disconnect'.  He discusses how he can be doing something with his body like fidgeting, or walking around, or moving his arms while still listening and being engaged.  Can you relate to this section?

Yes, I agree. My favorite thing to do is play with a hair band.  

 We just finished reading the sections titled How Autism Changes Your Family and Disconnect from Gregory Tino's book, The Autistic Mind Finally Speaks.  Can you relate to any of what he writes here? 

I can relate to caring about each person's feelings. Autism is marvelous and frustrating.  It has a mind of its own.  Sometimes it feels like my brain is a hot mess.

The Beginning

I was born in Hillsborough, California. I was an active child. I loved exercise. 

I was a healthy girl.  My favorite thing to do was go on car rides.  I loved to see other places while I relaxed in the car.
